In my opinion it´s time to stop talking about „cheaper“ organic wines as a novelty item. 20 years ago lesser priced organic wines were not nearly as good quality wise as the „traditionaly“ made lesser priced wines, but things have changed and the wines growers knowledge in making these types of wines has advanced.
Today I look and taste the wine with the thought „is the wine good quality for money“ first. It is an added plus if it is organic. A good example of a good wine that happens to be organic is the Yoga Syrah.

Yoga Syrah 2018 from Sicily, Italy is a very open wine with lots of smoke, black cherries, jam, coffee and nutmeg in the nose. The taste is dry and alcoholic to start out with, going to a coffee, liqourice, blackberry, vanilla and smokey flavour. There is a very good balance of the tannins, alcohol and fruits and the aftertaste is long lasting. A great wine with pasta and grilled lamb or beef, ready to drink now, but I would love to see how it develops the next five years. The price is outstanding or only 2.889 kr.
