This wine is in everyway the description above, massive, great tasting, ready to drink but can still develop for at least another 10 years. Expensive? Yes! Worth the money? Every krona!
So what did we choose as our last wine of the month?
Robert Mondavi Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 from Napa Valley, California.
I wrote about the comeback of Mondavi wines in march of this year, and had not even tasted this beauty of a wine at that time. It made my little black heart so happy to see them get back on their feet.
Oakville Cabernet has a very open aroma full og oak, vanilla, espresso coffee, blackberry and nutmeg. The palate comes out strong and heavy right away with a mouth watering blend of vanilla, blackberry, toasted almonds and finishing off with oak, nuts, coffee and alcohol. The balance of the tannins and fruits are excellant! The aftertaste is long with good alcohol in it.
A great wine to drink now but will be phenomonal after 10 years. Great with good meet courses. The price is 11.999 kr.
