Í þriðju „bubbly“ umfjölluninni ætlum við að fara til uppáhalds hvítvíns svæðisins míns, Alsace. Að segja að Alsace hafi frábært úrval af hvítvíni er vægt til orða tekið, en margir gera sér ekki grein fyrir því að þar eru einnig framleidd framúskarandi freyðivín.
Lýsandi dæmi finnst mér vera Kientz Brut NV. Vínið er sýruríkt með keim af ger, sítrus, lime og ananas fyrst og fremst, bæði í lykt og bragi. Svo koma blóma og smá banana einnkenni í bakgrunni. Eftirbragðið er langt og sýruríkt og loftbólurnar eru fínlegar og freyða vel og lengi. Þetta er tilvalið vín fyrir þá sem vilja aðeins meira í freyðívínið sitt en ódýrasti kosturinn gefur, en eru samt ekki alveg tilbúin að fara í kampavín. Verðið er mjög hagstætt eða aðeins 2.995 kr.

In our third „bubbly“ installment, we are going to my favourite white wine area, Alsace, France. To say Alsace has an outstanding assortment of white wine is an understatement. What most people do not realise is that they also have an outstanding Cremant (sparkling) selection.
One example is the Kientz Brut NV. The wine is highly acidic, with a lot of bisquit, citrus, lime and pineapple foremost in the nose and taste, after that comes a little banana and a slighty floral taste. The aftertaste is long and acidic and the bubbles are small like a head of a pin and stay in the glass for a long time. This is a perfect bubbly for those who want something more than the cheap stuff on the market, but are not quite into the Champagne stages yet. The price is fair or only 2.995 kr. per bottle.
