Reiser, St. Magdalener, Alto Adige Doc Italy 2022
I have to admit, I have heard of this area but have never tasted a wine from there before. Truth be told I don´t think wine from this area has ever been sold in Iceland (that I know of).
The wine comes out much better than expected, starting with a beautiful flowery aroma that leads to a red currant and red berry flavour that ends in a slight cinnomin taste. The balance between the fruit and tannin is very good. A good wine that is not a heavy „monster“ but more on the lighter more delicate side. The wine should pair nicely with bird og pork. The price is good at 4.191 kr.
